Welcome I am Danielle Spencer an d I am going to discuss Foster care in the system many children are hoping to find a good family to belong to and would never have to be alone again. Because they have found a good family who will love them for who they are and want mistreat them. They have the system where in many homes children are being abused in every way by their family and they just want everything to stop that their going through. I believe that foster children should be treated so special because they have been through so much and treated like dirt and I think that they should be in a lovable situation.
Today in foster care must children die in foster care of the years 2000-2007 I just believe when so many people take in children they said their going to care for the child and take care of them and buy everything that they would ever need. But they turn around and do the opposite of what is supposed to be done for the children. But before you can think about getting any children from the home of innocents you have to go through so many guidelines and systems as like for example: you have to be given a background check and finger printing scan to make sure that everything is okay and you’re not a felon or anything because they watch you very close are is also you have to be first aid certified so that way if something were to maybe happen to the child you would know exactly what needs to be done. And last but not least you have medical clearances for all adults and for the children that you are taking care of in your household.
But there are just so much that you have to go through before you can even think about getting a child. Because people see so many children out here that are being mistreated sometimes you may even see like a 5 year old or an 8 year old walking down the street by themselves because they know that their parents don’t care and there’s no one that’s there for them when they’re in need. There are so many people that just wanted to take the child in for their money that they’re receiving from the foster care place so that they can have food and clothes and everything that they truly are in need of. But I say that there is a 50% chance of people that want to take the kids in because maybe they can’t have kids and they want to adopt and really want to be there for the kids that don’t have a caring family.
Then there is the other half were when the people want to go to adopt the child and they say that they’re going to do everything that needs to be done but they do turn around and abuse the child or neglect by leaving them home alone and don’t come back until late at night or the next morning. But when you do adopt a child or children the foster care people do come and check on the family and make sure that everything is okay. Because if they feel that something is going then they will call cps which is child protective services and they will have to come and take a look at what is going on if there is a problem. But overall you just have to watch and if you’re thinking about adopting or anything you need to make sure that you have all the information that will be needed and be a really good parent to the child.
Because there is so any children that may need help and a family to make them feel love at all times. I choose to talk about foster care because I believe I am qualified because I am in premedical in high school as a student and we are doing everything from EKG’s and first aid certifications and many other things that are needed to be done. I believe when I get out of high school I will be going into that major and wanting to do more with it. Foster care is so important to me because I see people almost every day that little kids are walking down the streets by their self’s and don’t have their parents outside with them. But they want to get mad when the children are doing something wrong and it’s because they don’t have the parent guide that is needed for little children. But there are so many children out here that are being so mistreated by their parents but the children don’t know what to do because their too young to know what needs to be done.
